My name is Ryan.

I'm a full-stack software developer based in the United States, and am currently working for a national ecommerce company, where I build and maintain a variety of enterprise applications and microservices that facilitate round-the-clock logistics operations and customer retail experiences.

I'm passionate about building web applications in the TALL Stack (Laravel, Livewire, Alpine.js, Tailwind CSS) but also have much experience writing React frontends and Node.js backends. This means I use, although not exclusively, PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and MySQL on a daily basis.

Since I started my tech career in a sysadmin role, I continue to enjoy working in the DevOps side of technology, and have built various kinds of systems infrastructure in cloud environments such as AWS, Cloudflare, and DigitalOcean. I especially appreciate the seamlessness of AWS SAM as an infrastructure-as-code platform.

Apart from my programming activities, I have served as a singer, composer, arranger, lyricist, keyboardist, recording engineer, and producer in many settings, but most prominently in various rock and heavy metal bands. As of late, I have been particularly inspired by the creative potential of analog synthesizers.

I'm also an avid hiker and gardener and believe that a harmonious relation between people, technology, and nature can lead humanity and its home to a brighter future.
